Course Information
The aim of this programme is to prepare learners for work as qualified care assistants and/or for entry into further and higher education. This a one year, full-time programme leading to a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Nursing Studies or Healthcare Support – this depends on module choice. Graduates may seek employment in a variety of residential and non-residential healthcare settings or as personal careers and in hospitals. Others may choose to progress to Higher Education.
Eligibility
Courses are free to VTOS eligible learners (over 21 years old, and 6 months – 156 days – on social welfare payment)
Entry Requirements
All applicants are assessed as to their suitability for study at QQI Level 5. Applicants who pass the assessment are interviewed.
Certification
Successful learners will achieve a QQI Certification Level 5 in Healthcare Support or individual components leading to a full award.
Course Schedule
Full-Time course with classes during the morning and afternoon.
Location
This course takes place in Adult Education Centre - Blanchardstown Village.
