Part-Time - Certificate in Early Learning and Care (ELC) - QQI level 5

Course Information

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies to work in an early learning and care setting, providing holistic care and learning for children from 0-6 years. This award also provides the learner with the opportunity to transfer and progress into further and higher education and training.

Eligibility

Any of the following:
- Have less than upper-second-level education
- In receipt of a jobseeker’s payment or means-tested social welfare payment
- In receipt of a Family Income Supplement
- Have a medical card
- People signing for credits
- Dependents of social welfare recipients

Entry Requirements

All applicants are assessed as to their suitability for study at QQI Level 5. Applicants who pass the assessment are interviewed.

*B2 English Language Proficiency is a requirement for applicants where English is not their first language.*

Certification

The successful learners will achieve QQI Level 5 Certification in Early Learning and Care.

Course Schedule

Part-time course with classes during the morning and afternoon.

Location

This course takes place in the Adult Education Centre, Blanchardstown Road North.
