Course Information
The aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to build the knowledge, skills and competencies required for participation in higher education or employment, including acquiring a broad range of key skills for academic research.
The programme will also enable learners to develop the skills to access the labour market.
Eligibility
Any of the following:
- Have less than upper-second-level education
- In receipt of a jobseeker’s payment or means-tested social welfare payment
- In receipt of a Family Income Supplement
- Have a medical card
- People signing for credits
- Dependents of social welfare recipients
Entry Requirements
All applicants are assessed as to their suitability for study at QQI Level 5. Applicants who pass the assessment are interviewed.
Certification
The successful learners will achieve QQI Level 5 Certification in General Studies or individual components leading to a full award.
Course Schedule
Part-time course with classes during the morning and afternoon.
Location
This course takes place in the Adult Education Centre, Blanchardstown Road North.
